Nätverket "Evidence Informed Practice": filmade föreläsningar och skriftlig dokumentation från nätverkets 4:e internationella workshop. Temat var ”Knowledge as an Empowerment Tool in Social Sciences”.

Årets workshop var den fjärde i ordningen. Den första ägde rum i England, den andra i Kanada och den tredje på Irland. I år träffades nätverket i Uppsala, där temat var ”Knowledge as an Empowerment Tool  in Social Sciences”. Ett drygt 20-tal personer från olika nationaliteter och miljöer deltog under tre dagar.

Wes Shera
Empowerment through knowledge: Implementing Knowledge Mobilization in Human Services Organizations.
Wes is professor and Dean emeritus, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, Canada. He will present a recent study on how organisations in different national settings (intermediary or supplying organisations) can influence the integration of knowledge-into-practice. The presentation also provides a conceptual model, and tools and resources to help human services organizations implement or create strategies for building, enhancing or sustaining their knowledge mobilization efforts.

Michelle Duda
Navigating the Implementation Process. How to Adopt, Install, Improve and Sustain Evidence Informed Practices.
Using principals of Implementation Science, this presentation will focus on how to build your organizations Implementation Capacity. It will introduce tools and strategies that can be applied in your organization or system today in order to adopt, install, sustain and measure EIPs with fidelity. Michelle is located in the US as a scientist at the University of North Carolina and as president and implementation Scientist at a Consulting and research Firm in Tampa.

Lena Lindgren
Performance measurement – a threat to professional work or a protection from arbitrariness?
Lena is associated professor at the School of public administration I Gothenburg, Sweden. In her presentation, she discusses whether performance measures in public services (t.ex. Öppna jämförelser) is a threat to professional work or if it may protect users from getting services based on random choice or personal whim?
